Eligibility and your Rights and Responsibilities

Employment ACTion serves men, women, youth and newcomers to Canada who are living with HIV/AIDS in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Our free services are open to individuals who have specific needs and meet certain eligibility requirements.

Employment ACTion receives funding from many sources, including the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) Employment Supports. You do not always have to be in receipt of ODSP Income Supports to be eligible for assistance through ODSP Employment Supports, and you may be able to access additional services to help you find and keep a job.

For example, if you are currently working and your position is impacting your health, or you want to work but are concerned about  how potential earnings may impact your health benefits, our employment consultants will provide information and supports that are applicable to your personal situation.

Please contact us to determine if we are the right agency to help you.

Your Rights and Responsibilities

Both Employment ACTion and the AIDS Committee of Toronto (ACT) engage with you in relationships that encourage accountability. You are assured of appropriate and professional programs and services, and are also expected to interact in a manner that demonstrates respect and responsibility.
